Kairos Community Hub
Kairos began with a simple but powerful vision: to rescue surplus café food and share it directly with people who need it. While our mission has grown and evolved, that original spark lives on.

How does it work?
The Community Hub opens at 4:30pm. Queue numbers will be randomly allocated at this time. After 4:30pm, queue numbers will be distributed in order. You are welcome to enjoy some BBQ food and have a chat with our volunteers or other visitors at our tables. At 5:30pm, you’ll be invited in number order to collect a basket of food to take home. You will be able to choose items from a selection of rescued goods. When you have finished, your selections will be weighed for our records. There is no charge for anything you take.
What sort of things will you have in stock?
It varies from week to week, depending on what’s been rescued. We’ll have to ready-to-eat food that has been picked up from local cafes and restaurants. You will usually find fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, and deli products.
